New Innovations for Tanks

When leaving a dive boat the last person to check the diver over always makes sure that their air is on by grabbing the tank valve and turning back. What if all they had to do was look at the valve and could tell that it was on, well they finally have done it. XS Scuba recently sent out tanks with a new system built on it, this system has a colored ring next to the on off valve of the tank. When the tanks is closed the ring is red, as the tank is turned on the red ring slides down and a green ring is now visible, showing that the tank is on.

Another tank innovation is the dual valve as i call it, the dual valve is a combo valve, it comes in both yoke and din. The way the valve works is that it is designed like a standard din valve, then a yoke insert is added to the valve, this insert now allows users the options of having both yoke or din tanks without the need to own two separate valves for the tanks. This innovation has actually been available for a few years now and many users are taking advantage of this nice feature.

Manufacturers are always trying to come up with something new that divers will like and in my opinion they have truly come up with two features that every diver can benefit from if they take advantage of them.
