In today’s world we try to save everywhere we can, here are some nice tips to use when booking your next vacation, hopefully this will save you a few dollars when planning the next vacation.
1. Plan your trip for the low season of your dive destination. This allows you to avoid many of the crowds that are headed to these destinations during the peak seasons. You may not have the best dive conditions offered by that area but if you lose a few feet of visibility but save some cash it should be worth it.
2. Travel with a Friend or Group Travel. When planning a dive vacation more is better, meaning the more customers that a dive operator might lose the more they will be willing to work with you more on the price.
3. Explore the Shore, shore diving in some places can be better than many of the boat dives offered in some locations. This allows you to cut down on charter fees, this can be a huge savings when traveling.
4. Location, many places are dream destinations to head to but they also come at a price, you can find many great dive sites in the smaller markets, these savings can help you save up to plan that big trip one day.
5. Packing, remember when traveling to many tropical locations you do not need to pack all the extra’s that a regular vacation needs. This usually means you do not need to pack as much clothing as you normally would. Also with newer innovations in equipment you can save plenty of weight with items such as BC’s and regulators.
6. having your own Gear, yes gear is an investment but when traveling having your own gear means you do not need to rent gear while on vacation.
These Tips can really save when used properly, try some of them the next time and see what it leads to.
Till Next Time
