The O’Neill Blueprint Plus Chest Zip Men’s surfing wetsuit is made of 3/2mm neoprene. This full wetsuit is perfect for surfing in warm and temperate waters.
Blueprint Plus is the closest thing to a truly environmentally friendly product. O’Neill uses a mixture of limestone and seashells in its wetsuit material instead of the traditional oil-based neoprene. They use an Eco carbon black method to dye neoprene black, where a black dye is extracted from recycled tires. They also employ Dope-dyeing to reduce water usage instead of classic techniques that require tremendous amounts of water. As for the lining, O’Neill uses recycled fabrics. They need around 100 plastic bottles to make one Blueprint wetsuit, which means those 100 bottles will not end up polluting the environment.
- TechnoButter 3 covers the arms and shoulders. This material makes the O’Neill Blueprint wetsuit more durable. Additionally, it does not hold any water, so a fullsuit is simultaneously lighter and warmer.
- TechnoButter 3X on shins and calves. This material is made using fewer yarns during manufacturing, which reduces its weight and makes it stretchier. Moreover, TB3X has fully taped seams making this wetsuit last longer.
- Nova Skin Air Graphene Firewall covers the chest, spine, and lower body. Nova Skin perfectly retains heat, thus protecting you from chills.
- Front Upper Zipper Entrance (F.U.Z.E.) closure. A small Redzone water-resistant zipper is located on the chest area, providing extra warmth and freedom of movement. A 360° Barrier with drain holes and plasma wrist and ankle create seals to prevent water from entering.
