What Does My Scuba Course Include?

There are 3 sections to scuba certification, academics, pool sessions and open water training.

1. Academics:  You can choose a group class and attend lectures that cover equipment and its use, diving science, dive planning, problem solving, diving environment and diving activities or you can purchase a NAUI or PADI home study kit and learn at home with the support of your instructor.
2. Pool sessions:  In the pool you learn how to use the equipment and how to solve any problem you can think of under the watchful eye of your instructor.  Learn new sensations, the thrill of breathing underwater and the freedom of weightlessness.
3. Open water diving:  Two (2) days of open water diving with your instructor (like a road test for a drivers license) where you will demonstrate your newly acquired skills.  This allows you to be certified as an open water scuba diver.

$249.00 Course Fees Includes All Of The Following:
    
Certification fees, instructional fees, pool fees, two days of open water training with your instructor, use of textbooks, tanks, buoyancy compensator jackets, regulators with octopus, gauges and mouthpieces for all pool sessions.
NOTE:  Only a swim suit & towel, paper & pencil and final course fees are required at the first class.

Snorkeling Equipment:
For pool sessions you will only need to provide a mask, snorkel, fins, and weight belt. Wet suit boots are recommended. Special Student discount packages are available for all snorkeling equipment required for class. A logbook is needed for your open water dives.

$209.00 Tropical Traveler Course:
If you are planning a warm water trip and would like to do your open water dives on your vacation, this course is for you!  Don't waste valuable vacation time in the classroom!  Receive your classroom, pool work and written work at home hen enjoy tropical diving for your open water training.  A Universal Referral Form can be obtained for a $5.00 fee to take with you to your tropical destination.  Return the completed referral form to us when you return home from your trip, pay the certification fee of $30.00 + tax and we will send away for your certification card.

The $209.00 course fees include the instructional fees, pool fees, use of textbook, tank, regulator with octopus, gauges, mouthpiece and buoyancy compensator for pool sessions.
NOTE:  If you are unable to complete your open water dives on your vacation, we can still arrange for you to complete your course in Buffalo.  Additional expenses would include:

• $30.00 + tax for certification fees and two days of open water training with an instructor
• $99.00 + tax rental fee for all the extra equipment you would need to dive locally plus your log book

$99.00 Open Water Training Dive Equipment Rental Package:
This package includes all of the following dive gear for your open water training dives:
tank, regulator with octopus and gauges, buoyancy compensator jacket, wet suit, wet suit hood, wet suit gloves, extra weight, under water compass and buddy line.  You can also take advantage of our popular rental / purchase program.  In addition, as an added bonus, you will receive your own personal log book.
