The sleek and easy to use Oceanic VEO 4.0 is a great all-around dive computer for both novice and more experienced divers.
The sleek and easy to use Oceanic VEO 4.0 is a great all-around dive computer for both novice and more experienced divers. Packed with advanced features, such as Bluetooth connectivity and integrated mobile experience through the DiveLog+ App, the VEO 4.0 still maintains Oceanic's outstanding level of affordability.
The device has 4 operating modes: Air, Nitrox, Gauge (with run timer) and Free (tracks calculations to allow switching between NORM and Free). 2 operating buttons allow “step forward” and “fast scroll” interface for streamlined access and setting of personal options. The computer comes with features including a full menu of audible and visual alarms for everything from nitrox settings to depth, time and deco status. You also get a backlight function (you set the duration) and the option of downloading your profiles to a PC.
Compared to its predecessor, the Veo 4.0 features bolder larger, easy-to-read digits, and has well-designed bar graphs to make monitoring your ascent rate and nitrogen loading easy. Traditionally, though, the Veo 4.0 is powered by Oceanic's Exclusive Dual Algorithm - you can choose from the Pelagic DSAT or Pelagic Z+.
The VEO 4.0 has a user replaceable CR2450 battery with a battery life of approximately 300 hours. The Computer comes in a durable rubber impact resistant console boot equipped with Oceanic's Pressure Gauge and Compass.
The pressure gauge is a shock resistant Bourdon tube mechanism that is Nitrox compatible to 50% O2. Gauge has Oceanic's OceanGlo luminescent gauge face that absorbs light and glows approximately 7 times faster and longer than other materials. Pressure gauge is equipped with temperature gauge, one-way safety valve and a double Kevlar high-pressure hose with triple chrome plated marine brass fittings with 7/16" threaded end. The pressure gauge has a pressure readout from 0 to 5,000 psi with bright fluorescent caution zone from 0 to 500 psi for added safety.
For reliable underwater navigation, the Side Scan compass is hard to beat. Large, easy-to-read bearing indicators on Oceanic's extremely bright OceanGlo luminescent floating card make quick work of navigation, especially in limited visibility. The OceanGlo luminescent has the same absorption of light and glow performance as the pressure gauge. This liquid filled compass has top and side reading capabilities. Use the side reading feature for gun-sight accuracy. Bezel has twin heading indicators for alignment of compass course, and a lubber line across the compass face. The dial rests on a precision jeweled bearing and incorporates extremely strong magnets for super quick response and accuracy. The compass bezel has compass headings in 30° numbered increments and indicator marks for every 10°.Console Dive Computer with Pressure Gauge and Compass
