TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures

The combination of these two courses will take the advanced diver into the realm of technical diving. You will learn the basics of dive planning, equipment configuration and the diving techniques that are the foundation of all technical diving. Topics will include accelerated decompression using enriched air nitrox and oxygen, the oxygen clock, decompression tables and soft ware, gas management, using a deco bottle, propulsion techniques, and emergency procedures. This course includes ten hours classroom, one day at the quarry and six dives, textbooks and certification cards. Maximum depth is 150 feet.

NAUI Helitrox Diver

This course is a great next step for the diver who has completed the Advanced Nitrox/Decompression Procedures course. This is and entry-level mixed gas course where the student will learn how to plan and conduct dives using Helitrox, which is oxygen, enriched helium mix that will greatly reduce the effects of nitrogen narcosis while providing the benefits of nitrox. You will learn the benefits and risks of using helium, how to plan Helitrox dives, and experience the safety and increased awareness this breathing gas provides. The course includes six hours classroom and four dives, textbook and certification card. Maximum depth is 150 feet.

Trimix Diver

Want to run with the big dogs? This course will put you up front. Planning longer and deeper dives using trimix to reduce narcosis and multiple decompression gases to reduce decompression time. Dive team planning, gas matching, rigging and using two deco bottles, contingency planning and emergencies drills will be covered. While training, you will visit the some of the deepest wrecks in Lake Erie. This course includes eight hours classroom, four dives, textbooks and certification cards. Maximum depth is 200 feet.
